Juno Beach Park, the Palm Beach County park that holds the Juno Beach Pier, is not on the County’s list of parks that charge for parking. In July 2026 that looked set to change for some visitors. This article sets out what the County’s own page said on Oct. 19, 2026, what two news reports said in July, and the parts nobody has confirmed.
The short version (Oct. 19, 2026)
The County’s beaches page lists parking fees at two parks, and Juno Beach Park is not one of them. July news reports said county residents keep free parking with a free pass, and visitors from outside the county would be charged. We found no confirmation that the charge has started. Read the signs when you pull in.
What the County’s own page says
Palm Beach County’s beaches page says: “While admission to the park is free, there are parking fees at” R. G. Kreusler Memorial Park in Palm Beach and South Inlet Park in Boca Raton. Juno Beach Park and nearby Loggerhead Park are not on that list. The County’s Juno Beach Park page lists parking as an amenity, at the entrance at 14775 U.S. Highway 1, but gives no space count. We found no payment app or pay-station zone published for any lot near the pier.
- Palm Beach County's beaches page says "While admission to the park is free, there are parking fees at" R. G. Kreusler Memorial Park (Palm Beach) and South Inlet Park (Boca Raton) only. Juno Beach Park and Loggerhead Park are not on that list. The county lists "parking" as a Juno Beach Park amenity but gives no space count. Palm Beach County Parks & Recreation: Beaches
- Palm Beach County lists Juno Beach Park's entrance at 14775 U.S. Highway 1, Juno Beach, Florida 33408, with hours "Sunrise – Sunset", class Beach, 6.28 acres. Palm Beach County Parks & Recreation: Juno Beach Park
- Palm Beach County lists Juno Beach Park amenities as: guarded beach frontage (300 feet), a daily designated surfing area, saltwater fishing from the pier, parking, single-table picnic shelters, the 990-foot pier, restroom facilities and outdoor showers. What the July 2026 news said
WPTV, July 15, 2026
WPTV reported that “Beach parking will stay free for Palm Beach County residents” after commissioners “voted Tuesday night to keep parking free for locals at county-owned beach parks and access points where parking is currently free.” It said residents “will need to obtain a free resident beach parking pass which has not yet been established”, and that “The county still plans to move forward with charging nonresidents for parking.” The original plan, WPTV said, “would have charged at least $4 an hour for parking at 12 county-owned beaches that currently offer free parking.” WPTV gave no start date.
WLRN and Stet News, July 16, 2026
A WLRN report, originally published by Stet News Palm Beach, said commissioners “have abandoned plans to charge county residents to park at 12 beachfront parks.” It said Commissioner Maria Marino argued that beachgoers who do not live in the county should be charged $4 an hour, the rate originally proposed for everyone. Its list of parks in her district where residents would need passes includes “Juno Beach and Loggerhead parks in Juno Beach.”
The same report said: “The parking fees won’t go into effect until Oct. 1, the start of the county’s new fiscal year.” It added that “Street parking along State Road A1A near the parks would remain free”, and that “It wasn’t immediately clear how the passes would be distributed or what proof of county residency would be required.”
What we could not confirm
- Whether the County’s final budget kept the charge for visitors from outside the county.
- Whether collection began on Oct. 1, 2026, or has begun at all.
- The hourly rate in force, if any. The $4 figure is from July reporting on a plan.
- How a resident gets the free pass, or what proof of residency is needed.
- How a visitor would pay. No app or pay station is published for Juno Beach Park.
On Oct. 19, the County’s beaches page had not added Juno Beach Park to its fee list. That is the latest official word we have, and it is not proof either way, because web pages can lag a policy change. News reports describe a decision; they are not the County’s fee schedule.
What it means if you park at Juno Beach Park
- Read the signs at the lot entrance. They will be more current than any web page, ours included.
- If you live in Palm Beach County, watch the County’s parks site for the resident pass, since both reports say residents will need one.
- If you live outside the county, assume a charge is possible and check on arrival.
- For a no-fee fallback, the Town of Jupiter’s 2026 beaches map marks free parking and street parking along the A1A corridor north of Ocean Cay Park, in Jupiter.
- Mind the hours. The County lists Juno Beach Park as open sunrise to sunset; the Town of Juno Beach’s page says “8 am. Sundown”.
- Palm Beach County gives Juno Beach Park's hours as "Sunrise – Sunset". The Town of Juno Beach's page for the same park says "8 am. Sundown". The county runs the park, so use the county hours and note the town page differs. Town of Juno Beach: Juno Beach Park; Palm Beach County Parks & Recreation: Juno Beach Park
Our parking page has the lot finder and the nearby County parks, and Juno Beach Park and beaches cover what each park offers once you are parked.
Pier fees are a separate thing
